Jason "Doc" Adams
CEO & Treasurer

Jason 'Doc' Adams is a dedicated individual with a diverse background. Originally from Ponchatoula, Louisiana, he served as a physician in the U.S. Air Force, achieving the rank of Major. After his military service, he settled in Gonzales, Louisiana, where he opened a medical practice and became deeply involved in youth athletics in Ascension Parish.


His involvement in youth sports includes coaching and managing various teams in baseball and basketball. Doc also owns Impact Sports, a youth sports practice and training facility in Gonzales, and manages summer high-school baseball showcase teams with Coach Wayne Grenfell.


Doc and his wife, Andrea, are proud parents of three sons, and they have made Gonzales their home. As the General Manager and Treasurer of AP Baseball, Doc plays a crucial role in ensuring the success of the organization and its commitment to youth athletics in Ascension Parish.



Wayne Grenfell
President & Director of Baseball Operations

Wayne Grenfell is the President/Director of Baseball Operations at AP Baseball, with a lifelong passion for sports, particularly baseball. He graduated from St. Amant High School in 1985, excelling in football and baseball. Wayne earned a degree in Sports Management from Southeastern Louisiana University in 1992 and later obtained a teaching certificate from the University of Louisiana-Lafayette.


His coaching career spanned several Louisiana schools, accumulating an impressive 287 wins as a Head Coach. Wayne also served as the President of the Louisiana Baseball Coaches Association and received Coach of the Year awards in 1997 and 2006.


Wayne Grenfell currently works as the Head Football Coach and Physical Education teacher at St. Amant Middle School. In his role at AP Baseball, he brings extensive knowledge and passion to the organization, making him a valuable asset. Wayne's journey from Ascension Parish to becoming a respected baseball coach in Louisiana is a testament to his dedication and expertise in the sport.



Travis Templet
Vice President &
Safety Director

Travis Templet, VP & Safety Director on AP Baseball website, is a dedicated sports enthusiast with a deep-rooted passion for coaching and community involvement. A proud 1990 graduate of St. Amant High School, Travis embarked on his coaching journey with the Ascension Parish Recreation Commission. Over the years, he not only honed his coaching skills but also played a pivotal role in the administration of the league, serving as Vice President and as the 11/12-year-old league representative.


Travis, a married father of two, Trevor and Kennedy, has a strong family connection to sports, coaching his own children in football, baseball, and fastpitch softball, providing valuable guidance and mentorship. With an impressive 15 years of experience coaching youth football, baseball, and fastpitch softball, Travis Templet is a true asset to the world of sports and a valuable member of the AP Baseball community.



Scott "Skip" Creel
Secretary &
Director of Sponsorships

Skip Creel, a St. Amant native and Gonzales resident, boasts a diverse background that encompasses military service and a storied coaching career. A Navy veteran with an honorable discharge, Skip is a dedicated VFW member. Married to Jill Scioneaux Creel for 18 years, they share two daughters.


Skip's coaching journey spans 26 years, starting with Gonzales's Dixie Boys program and extending to travel baseball with Elite Aces and Ascension Rays. He also coached at East Ascension High School and currently leads in the AP Baseball Little League program. Skip's coaching accolades include numerous state and world series championships, cementing his reputation as a respected and accomplished coach.




Trent Templet
IT Director

Trent Templet, the IT Director at AP Baseball, brings a wealth of experience to the organization. A St. Amant High School graduate from the Class of 1995, Trent has been deeply involved in baseball from a young age. He started coaching youth baseball at just 16 years old and spent eight years coaching in the Ascension Parish Recreation Commission.


Trent's passion for coaching led him to the world of travel baseball, where he dedicated eight years to coaching the Ascension Braves. He also took time to coach his son in Gonzales Dixie Youth Baseball for two years before returning to Ascension Parish Boys Baseball for another two years.


Not content to simply coach, Trent created and coached in the travel organization, the Ascension Gators, for four years, further demonstrating his commitment to the sport. Currently, he is in his fourth year of coaching at AP Baseball Little League.


In addition to his coaching endeavors, Trent works as an IT Analyst at Acadian Companies. He is a proud father to his son, Taylor. With his extensive background in baseball and IT expertise, Trent is a valuable asset to AP Baseball.
